The City of Overland Park Stream Clean Day
Written by Dustin Craig

The City of Overland Park Stream Clean

Saturday, April 10th

Beginning at 9:00 AM

Quivira Park (S.E. corner of 119th St & Quivira Rd.)

The annual City of Overland Park Stream Clean is this Saturday, April 10th.  EWB-KC is putting together a group of volunteers to pick up trash near a stream in a local park.  If you would like to help out, contact David Baugher ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or show up at Quivira Park located at the southeast corner of 119th St. & Quivira Rd.  The group will plan to meet at the park at 9:00 AM and clean until everyone gets tired.  Please wear old clothes and bring some water.  The city will provide us with bags and gloves but bring your own if you would prefer.

This year there is a contest among the volunteer groups to see who can collect the most interesting piece of trash (a picture must be taken and a brief description written) so bring a camera!  Also, for volunteers 14 and under there is an essay contest to write about the Stream Clean event experience.  The prizes for these contests are still to be determined.
